Have always looked at them as labels. I have had so many over the years, and finally got to a place, I recognized them for what they where, and then thought it isn't about the label or title, it is about me as to who I deal with it, live with it, or overcome it.

They can be overbearing or they can be an affirmation.

My last boss called me the office manager, when in fact, I was a girl Friday. He bought me an electronic typewriter and figured it replaced the raise I was due.

The same with the 5 types of arthritis, diabetes, nerves disorder, pseudo gout, etc. A name is a name, it is about me and how I deal with it in today.

In today, I am a recovering alcoholic. That doesn't mean I am healed, my disease is there just waiting to slip into a crack, especially if I allow my mind to stray and I follow.
