When I surrender to the program of recovery and to my God's Way of life, I am empowered. I am powerless, without that inner strength and knowing. My life is unmanageable when managed by me.
My God works through me and others, it isn't all about me. It is about what I need, which my God meets. It isn't about what I can dish up and serve on my own. I am given that moment of pause to hesitate and meditate and think of whether I am going to act or react. Most times that act is to pray. Fear can prevent us from moving forward, faith can help us work through it.
