Default Small Straws In A Soft Wind - May

May 1: I woke up with the word recidivism, which in essence means backsliding, relapsing, reverting back to old behavior patterns. And, I heard the Lord say: Beware of the work of the enemy to seduce you into old addictions whether it be drugs, alcohol, food, or the need for approval. Set a watch and refuse the temptations that seem so tantalizing. Rise up in the strength of the Spirit and overcome, says the Lord. 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

May 2: For those who have endured drastic changes in life and circumstances, these adjustments will become part of your normal routine as you stay connected spiritually to Me, says the Lord. I am bringing you through the disruptions and storms more resilient and wiser than you were. Stay strong. James 1:2-4 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.

May 3: Be diligent to stay within in the confines of your boundaries as marked by your responsibilities. In other words, do not intrude into the lives of others without their consent. Be sensitive to the leading of My Spirit, says the Lord, and in general, mind your own business. 1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with you own hands as we commanded you, that you may walk properly toward those who are outside and that you may lack nothing.

May 4: There are things you can do now that have been impossible in the past for a variety of reasons. The doors are opening and possibilities are presenting themselves for your consideration. Be sensitive to current opportunities to move beyond where you have been stuck. The days ahead must be taken one step at a time instead of one leap at a time. Prepare for a methodical and consistent process. Proverbs 119:133 Direct my steps by Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over me.

May 5: Do not beat yourself half to death because of mistakes you made. Everything is forgivable if you take steps to make the necessary corrections. You can do your best, but remember the old adage: to err is human, to forgive is divine, which emphasizes that making mistakes is a natural part of human experience, while the ability to forgive is a higher, divine quality. Being kind to others is a virtue, but so also is being kind to yourself. Ephesians 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

May 6: Take time today to get organized and tie up loose ends. There are things you have worried about that need to be released to Me for My intervention--things you have no real control over. Let go, and trust Me to do for you what you cannot do for yourself, says the Lord. I am with you and will show you the way. 1 Peter 5:6-7 Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

May 7: You are adjusting to a new normal. Do not fight against it, but rather go with the flow. You will find that this adjustment will make your situation better for you than it used to be if you will be flexible and willing. Psalm 32:8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

May 8: When things do not work out as you planned, make another plan along with making the adjustments necessary to achieve your goal. You learned what not to do, but there are still things you can do when you make the necessary changes. On the whole you are doing alright, so do not lose heart or hope. Isaiah 58:11 The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.

May 9: You are still haunted by your inability to make things right. Remember that you cannot undo what has already transpired. But, you can deliberately put the past behind and do the best you can with what you face today. You have a brand new clean slate to work with right now; make the most of it. Philippians 3:13-14: Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

May 11: I speak to those who have been overwhelmed and feeling lost. You need to reset and realign. Intentionally find your place in the realm of the spirit in relationship with Me, says the Lord. This is the only place where you belong and can feel whole again. It is your comfort zone. Come and take your rightful place in My kingdom. John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
