Blessing: God’s Mercy
And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. Luke 1:50 KJV

Message:
God ‘s Mercy is goodwill, kindness, goodness, or favor towards those who fear Him. As we saw He has compassion for those who fear Him. so also He has mercy. His mercy provided salvation for all who would believe and receive His Son Jesus and His mercy continues daily to those who fear Him for ever and ever as they walk through this world.

Hebrews 6:19a 'This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.'

- Our hope in the Lord is the anchor for our souls.
- We should anchor ourselves on God, the Rock of Ages.
- This anchor will hold no matter what storms we may face.
- May you rest secure because you know that your anchor is sure!

PRAYER: Lord, I declare that You are the anchor of my soul. In You I find security and in You I find the hope that my soul needs and longs for. Amen

God Is Greater Than Your Mistakes by Joyce Meyer

Many times, before your feet even hit the floor in the mornings, the enemy begins to remind you of everything you did wrong the previous day or everything that didn’t work out well. In doing so, the enemy’s goal is to use yesterday to keep you from living today.

You don’t have to be afraid of repeating the past. If you believe God is greater than your sins, mistakes, and shortcomings, you will have the spiritual energy and the strength and the grace of God to help you press on and do better in the future. The dreams of your future have no room for the disappointments of the past. They will keep you stuck and weighed down.

Every day can be a new beginning if we make a determined decision to press on to achieve the greater things God has for us today. God’s mercy is greater than yesterday’s mistakes.

Prayer Starter: Father, I lift up every mistake and disappointment, and I give them to You right now. Help me to leave them behind, start fresh, and focus on all the good things You have for me in the future. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Love Can Change People

I once read a story in Guideposts magazine, a remarkable account of how love changed a person's life. A Christian woman lived next door to an elderly lady who never came out of her house or even raised her window shades to let light into her home. This lady’s husband had died, and she herself had endured a stroke, which had left her lonely and bitter.

The Christian woman and her two young children began trying to reach out to the elderly recluse, but every time they did, she rejected their advances. They baked cookies every week for a long time and delivered them to their neighbor’s door. The first time, she opened the door just a crack, accepted the cookies, thanked them, and closed the door.

The neighbor’s response was not what the Christian woman had hoped for, but she lovingly persisted. And eventually love did work! The elderly lady accepted a casserole from her and said more than just a short thank-you. As the visits continued, the elderly woman gradually began to chat longer. Finally, one day, the Christian woman’s children picked some flowers from their garden and delivered them to their neighbor. Eventually, they all became good friends. The elderly lady got her life back. She opened her blinds, her door, and her heart, and she began to live again—all because someone who loved God was determined to love her.

Many people in the world today are just like the elderly neighbor. They have had sadness or difficulties in their lives and have become bitter. They seem to reject love, yet love is what they need most. Be a person who gives of yourself and your resources to reach out and show love to someone who desperately needs it.

Love Others Today: Do you know someone who is angry, sad, or bitter? How can you show love to that person?

Dear heavenly Father, thank you that I am well, and strong and able to work. I do appreciate the work You have called me to do. Lord, sometimes I do get weary, but help me not to complain. I am most blessed to be Your child and I thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life. Many lack the blessings I have. I am grateful that I am not hungry and I do not have bombs going off above my house. Lord, I pray for my brothers and sisters in the world that are experiencing those trials. Protect them and provide for them. I will not complain of my light afflictions when I think of many in the world that do not even have the essentials of a secure home. Lord, use each of us who are Your children to reach out to those that do not have the blessings that we have. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Each one of us is different, with his own particular needs, but we are all your children and should all become children of your Spirit.
