Baskets of Blessings Day 12 by SGLY Ministry

Blessing: Fruitfulness
But the midwives feared God, and did not do as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the male children alive. Therefore God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied and grew very mighty.
Exodus 1:17, and 1:20 NKJV

Message:
The King of Egypt noticed that the Israelites were a strong people who even though they were beaten and overworked continued to do well and multiply. The King was afraid that the Israelites would increase so great that they would rise up and conquer him to overthrow his Kingdom, so he told the mid-wives when they were delivering Israelite babies to kill any male baby they saw being born, but to save the girl babies.
However, the mid-wives were women of faith who feared God and they did not obey the King, thus God blessed them for their obedience and increased the Israelites to be fruitful to multiply in number and strength.
Fruitfulness is a blessing of God for those who fear Him and obey Him. Fruitfulness is one of the Fruits of the Holy Spirit which we believers enjoy. Let’s give thanks and rejoice that we are most blessed by the Lord as we fear Him and walk in His ways and will daily.

Today’s Scripture: “Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.” (Galatians 6:7, NLT)

Your Seed Determines Your Harvest

Have you ever looked at a large, old tree and wondered how long it has been there? It’s amazing to think that at one point, that gigantic tree was merely a tiny seed. In the same way, our words and actions are seeds. We will always reap a harvest on what we sow.

Think about the types of seeds you have been sowing. Are you sowing encouragement, hope, blessing, love? Then that’s what you’ll reap in the future. But if you’ve been sowing criticism, judgment and anger, you’re probably already reaping a bad harvest. It’s time to start changing your seed.

Today, I encourage you to pray and ask God to help you uproot any negative seeds you may have planted in the past and begin sowing good seeds for your future. As you stay obedient to the Word of God, you’ll see those seeds grow. You’ll rise up higher and enjoy the harvest of blessing God has promised you.

A Prayer for Today: “Father, search my heart. Show me any bad seeds that need to be uprooted. Help me, by Your Spirit, to plant good seeds for my future. Use me for Your glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.”

Joel Osteen

I Am Protected by Joyce Meyer

Spending time with God protects us from the attacks of our enemies. When I remember this, it helps me feel safe, and that is something we all desire.

Take a moment several times a day to simply turn your attention toward the Lord and say, “I know You are with me and that You are my Protector.” Then, take a few moments to dwell in that thought and let it comfort you. There is never a moment in your life when God is not with you.

Prayer Starter: Father, thank You for being with me at all times. Your Word says You will never forsake me, and You will protect me from those would harm me (see Hebrews 13:5). Help me to regularly spend time with You and daily focus on Your love and protection. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Choosing right for the future by Alive to God

We have a choice! We can either live in the past and be past-orientated people, or we can look to the future and be future orientated people. It speaks of focus. We can be backward focused or forward focused. I believe that we must be forward looking people!

Philippians 3:12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Philippians 3:14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

This ‘pressing on’ attitude is the attitude of future orientated people. Choices play such a vital part in our lives. Choices dictate our future and to a large degree even our present. We are constantly faced with choices. Even God gives us choices.

Joshua 24:15 Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve.

Deuteronomy 30:19 I have set before you life or death, blessing or curse. Oh, that you would choose life; that you and your children might live! (The first step to moving on is choice.)

It starts as we choose to move on and leave the things that we have been holding on to. (EG: Past hurt, Past success, past failure or past disappointments) If you are fearful, then ask God to give you His wisdom, so that you can make the right choices. Don’t get cold feet. Step forward and lets move on.

I'll restore your health and heal your wounds," declares the LORD

"I'll restore your health and heal your wounds," declares the LORD Jeremiah: 30:17

Some of us have been hurt; financially, physically or even spiritually we have been wounded - which has impacted our health, joy and peace of mind.

In Jeremiah 3:22 we read, He will cure us of backsliding - which means that backsliding is also a wound.

The word of God today assures us that He will restore our health and heal our wounds. Amen!

Yet another scripture goes like this: I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. (Jeremiah 33:6)

Jeremiah prays, "Heal me, O LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise." (Jeremiah 17:14).

Let us also ask for healing this morning. Healing from stress, healing from backsliding, healing from financial insecurities, healing from ailments, healing from fear, and anything and everything you would wanted to healed of.

Our living, loving Father God affirms that He will restore our health and heal our wounds. Amen!

Hope for a New Season

Thought for the Day

"Never give up hope of reaching what you are looking for. Never give up the hope for better health, better finances, better relationships, a better job, or a better tomorrow. Just as winter turns to spring and spring to summer, God has a new season ahead for you too."

Today's Word

"But now, Lord, what do I look for? My hope is in you." (Psalm 39:7 NIV)

Today's Prayer

Lord, my hope for a better tomorrow is in you. I know that I must keep working towards that tomorrow but I know that you will open the doors for me that I need to walk through to reach the tomorrow you have in store for me. Amen

The Whisper Of God

**********

It’s easy with everything going on right now, to want to question God’s love for you.

One thing the enemy always tries to do is to get us to question whether God really loves us. When things get tough and times get hard, it’s easy to question God’s love.

How precious is your unfailing love, O God! All humanity finds shelter in the shadow of your wings. – Psalm 36:7 (NLT)

Here is the truth. God loves you. He’s always loved you and He will never stop loving you.

The love that God has for you isn’t based on whether you deserve it or not. He just loves you. And that’s so freeing to know. That love empowers you to go out and love others and to serve God with your whole heart.

God really does love you and really cares what you’re going through.

Today’s Scripture: “...Avoiding a fight is a mark of honor; only fools insist on quarreling...” (Proverbs 20:3, NLT)

Marked by Honor

A lot of times we think winning a fight is a mark of honor. We walk away from an argument thinking, I won that fight. I told them off. That’s not winning. You fed your ego, but it didn’t strengthen your relationship. You may have won the argument, but how much damage was done? When we say hurtful things, it exacts a heavy price. The real way to win is to avoid it and walk away. That’s a mark of honor. It takes humility. Pride wants to argue and have the last word.

There’s a right way and a right time to address your differences. Do it calmly, express your concerns, and then leave it there. If it starts getting heated, walk away. When you do it God’s way, He’ll fight your battles. He’ll change what needs to be changed. Do what you can to keep the atmosphere loving, kind, and peaceful. Be a person of honor and avoid the fight.

A Prayer for Today: “Father, thank You for calling me to be a person marked by honor. Help me to know the right way and a right time to quietly and calmly address my differences with others. I want to do it Your way and leave it to You to fight my battles. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Prayers

Prayer for the Morning

The night has passed, the sun shines its light upon us, and the day lies open before me. As I rejoice in the gift of this new day, so may the light of your presence fill me with love for you and my fellow man, holy God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Abide with me, I pray, now and forever. Amen.

Meditation

[Freedom from anger.]

*****

Now all glory to you, mighty God, who is able to keep me from falling away and will bring me with great joy into your glorious presence without a single fault. All glory to you who alone are God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are yours before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time, Amen.

*****

Father, in the name of Jesus, I purpose to have the same attitude, purpose and humble mind as my Lord. He is my example for greatness! As a citizen of Your Kingdom, I am standing firm in united spirit and purpose, contending with a single mind for the faith, pursuing the destiny, which You handcrafted just for me. I will not be intimidated in anything by my opponents and adversaries. You are my light and my salvation. Amen

*****

Dear Lord Jesus, remind me that each step that I take in my walk with You counts, not just the goal. If I am to be a Christian, then I must be a Christian person each step of the way. Help me to see that every day of my life contributes something to the person I am becoming, and my conduct influences others around me. Fill me with the Holy Spirit, so that I may stand firm in the trials that I encounter daily. In Your holy name I pray. Amen.

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference. Amen.

Father, we come to You in Jesus' most precious name, thanking You for Your love for us. Lord, You see the areas in our lives that are not in balance. We ask that You reveal those to us and help us to walk in the path of righteousness and Your holy balance. Deliver us from error and all that is an abomination to You. Heal us today spirit, soul and body so that we might serve You by walking in a victorious Christian life. Let our lights shine so that truly others might see Your love in us. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
